I have taken up the challenge to do the London marathon and the Reading half marathon on the 2nd March for this charity:
HEART UK - At H.E.A.R.T UK we’re passionate about preventing premature deaths caused by high cholesterol
and cardiovascular disease. Inherited high cholesterol (IHC) affects about one person in every 100 and can
cause early cardiovascular disease and shorten lives. IHC can kill fit young people, without warning, in their 30s,
40s and even in their 20s!

WAMA competing at English Open 2007
Some of the kids and adults went up to the English Open recently. The instructors were very pleased with the turn out, especially the kids.
Everyone enjoyed the day, although it was a long day. Below are photos of the kids group and the trophies they won.
WAMA have reached the £10,000 mark and passed it...
During a great night of kickboxing auctions were held for some great prizes.
These included signed photos of Mike Tyson, Amir Kahn, Wayne Rooney and Lennox Lewis which all raised hundreds of pounds.
On the night though there was only one signed photo wanted by all - Muhammad Ali!
This photo alone went for £340 which all goes to Charity.
The total is now estimated at £12,000 with more expected at Fightclub Uncut at the end of August.
Raising Money For Charity

The Fightclub 6 event and the Weston academy members have raised £1221.00 for Cancer research
and £812.00 for the children’s hospice through the mayors Trust a total of £2033.

The academy is heavily involved in raising money for charity. The club has donated over two thousand
pounds in the 2003/4. The charities to benefit have been the NSPCC, British Epilepsy Assosiation and Childrens Hospice south west.
Club Tournaments at the Academy
The academy has had guest clubs from around the local region. The idea is to hold an interclub tournament
between the Tai Sho Ryu Kickboxing club and any visiting Kickboxing clubs.
Clubs that have attended such tournaments are Wu Shu Ky Kickboxing, Avon Dragons, Weston Kickboxing club.
International Visitors
The Maltese team attended the academy for a weeks training and a tournament.
The club had an excellent time and gained some good tips from Stuart Davies points
World Champion who sparred with all the students and their instructor.
