
Chief Instructor Stuart Davies
Stuart competed in his first tournament back in 1985 and has not looked back since.
In his early career he competed all over the country at the Cimac, Mai, Combat and Welsh grand prix.
He won his first major tournament in 1987 and then went on to win numerous titles in kickboxing and karate. These include
British and European titles in Kata, sport karate and points topping it off with a World Kickboxing title in 2002 in Denmark.
Stuart received his 5th Dan in 2004 and is registered with the World Board of Black belts. He was also acreditied with a Hall of Fame award in 2000.
Stuart had a major ankle operation in 2003 and after the operation set himself a goal of fighting on a professional full contact show.
He achieved his aim with a convincing 57 second knockout at Chelmsford. This was Stuarts first Professional full-contact fight.
Stuart Davies is fully qualified and accredited to teach Karate, Kickboxing, Boxing and Tae Geri Kickboxercise and is a first class instructor and coach.
Stuart started Weston academy of martial arts (WAMA) and Tai sho ryu, which means 'leading school', back in 1997.
The club now has six adult black belts instructors and two junior black belts. Stuart has concentrated on the full-contact scene including
Fightclub fight show promotions and now has the reputation of being a top class promoter.

Kickboxing Instructor George Katsimpas
George started competing at a very young age and has
excelled in the competitive side of kickboxing. He has become with
out doubt one of the top kickboxers in the country!
He learnt his trade on the semi-contact scene, then moved on to the
full-contact scene, winning his first fight in a second
round knockout. George is fully qualified to teach kickboxing and Tae Geri kickboxercise.
His knowledge is excellent and is a top class instructor and coach. In his earlier years he won
numerous semi-contact belts including a European title. He is WKA, WPKA British champion,
WUMA pro world Champion, IKF European Champion which was all acheived in only 8 fights.
George Katsimpas has two professional fights under his belt and now
has his sights set on a title in professional boxing so watch this space...

Kickboxing Instructor Paul Hill
Paul Hill is a Black Belt 2nd Dan Kickboxer. Paul Hill is a current European Champion and also fought for the ISKA world title in 2007.
He has a wealth of knowledge in Kickboxing and has a history of Thai Boxing. He was Midlands Thai Boxing champion back in the
early 90's. He joined the Warrior Gym and gained hi Black Belt and instructors qualifications with flying colours.

Kickboxing Instructor Paul Healy
Paul Healy is a Black Belt 2nd Dan Kickboxer. He has hade 7 full contact fights and is a very skilled all round kickboxer. He is an
excellent kicker and prides himself on his technique. Paul is a first class instructor and enjoys the fitness side of martial arts and
this shows in his lessons. He has years of experience and really enjoys teaching at the club.

Kickboxing Instructor Matt Boxall
Matt is a good all-round fighter that has fought in semi-contact points, continuous and full contact over a period of eight years.
As well as competing for many years he has trained under good instructors bringing new and varied techniques to the club.
He achieved his 2nd Dan in 2005 and is looking towards his 3rd Dan soon. His main interest is self defence (WJJF Ju-Jitsu)
and becoming a more all rounded fighter. He has spent many years training with Steve Keen and other great grapplers.
He has recently started his own club in Bridgwater where he hopes to bring on more Warrior Gym Kickboxers and MMA fighters. The club also offers
just fitness sessions and gradings through WAMA (Bridgwater Kickboxing).

Kickboxing Instructor Jason Rhys-Gill
Jason started training at an early age with karate at first and progressing into kickboxing at a later stage.
He has gained experience from his fighting career which started with many points and light continous fights
and progressed to full contact.
He has maintained a good record while participating in three full contact bouts and one title fight.
Jason brings skill and experience to the club and has been a valued member for many years and teaches
adults in the Tuesday evening classes. He is a confident kickboxing and Karate practitioner and recently achieved his 2nd Dan in kickboxing.

Karate Instructor John Clatworthy
John has years of experience in the martial arts and has an excellent karate club running at the academy.
He is a 4th Dan Instructor and is registered with the World and British Federations.
He is also a Ju-jitsu instructor and incorporates this within his traditional training.
Other instructors at the club include Mike Walker 3rd Dan, Barry Norton 3rd Dan.

Kickboxing Instructor Lewis Mulhall
Lewis at 14 years is a top class junior fighter and trains with a 100% commitment. He is a
Black Belt and has been assisting the fellow adult instructors with the junior lessons. He is a true asset to
the club and with out doubt will make a great senior instructor. Lewis has had two Full contact fights and won
numerous trophies at national tournaments.

Kickboxing Instructor Ian Simpson
Ian competed in Denmark in the World championships 2002 and gained a silver medal in the under 80kg continuous section.
Over the years he has had great results at tournaments winning many trophies. He is also is a qualified instructor in
Tae Geri as well as kickboxing.
More recently on a good night for WAMA Ian achieved his 2nd Dan in kickboxing.
WAMA Honoree Instructor SILVIO CAMILERI
Silvio has been friends with Stuart Davies for a number of years.
He has a club in Malta and the two became good friends when Stuart visited the club in Malta for a tournament.
In may 2002 Silvio visited WAMA to compete against their fighters. The Students from Malta had an excellent
time and really enjoyed their weeks stay.
